Sunday School and Adult Bible Classes
At Orangeburg Baptist Tabernacle, there are many Sunday School classes and Adult Bible classes available for you to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. You will find that we strive to have a Sunday School Minsitry second to none. Under the leadership of our Sunday School Superintendent, Terri Felkel, we have seen numerical and spiritual growth in the Sunday School of the Orangeburg Baptist Tabernacle.
Young at Heart
This Adult Bible class is taught in the main auditorium by Mr. Jack Beaver. Brother Jack, as well as the other adult teachers, teach through a book of the Bible each quarter, chapter-by-chapter and verse-by-verse. These classes are the equivalent of Bible college classes: no child's play in these classes.
Good Samaritans
This married adult ministry is designed to help strengthen your faith in Jesus Christ while also strengthening the bonds of marriage. You and your spouse will share experiences, learning, and worship that will help you grow spirtitually and discover God's will for your family. This class is taught by Assistant Pastor Lee Howze.
Life Prep 101
The young, single adult that are college age are invited to join this Sunday School class. This ministry offers opportunities for Bible study, personal and spiritual growth, and fellowship. This class is taught by Mr. Eddy Strickland.
Youth
Generation NEXT - This Sunday School class is designed to assist in the spiritual growth of teenagers in 9th-12th grades. In this class, the "next generation" memorizes scripture and learns biblical truths applicable to their place and experience in life. This class is taught by Mr. James Bryant.
Junior Varsity- This Sunday School class is designed for teenagers in 7th-8th grade. This class is taught by Mrs. Donna Kessel.
Junior Boys - Boys in grades 4-6 attend this class to learn Bible stories, verses and life lessons. This class is taught by Mr. Chet Stone.
Junior Girls - Girls in grades 4-6 attend this class to learn Bible stories, verses and life lessons. This class is taught by Ms. Melanie Crosby.
Children
Primaries - Our 1st through 3rd graders learn the Word of God through song, stories, and Scripture teaching. This class is taught by Mrs. Lisa Beaver.
Church Just For You - Joel and Shelley Ivey head up our childrens' church during our morning service. There's more than just spiritual babysitting going on here. The Iveys teach the singing, Scripture, and practical things that our children need, all while having fun.
Preschool
4's and 5's Class - The children learn the Word of God through activities, artwork, and Bible teaching on their level. This class is taught by Mrs. Debbie Barnard.
2's and 3's Class - This is one of my favorite classes because you get crackers and juice. Brian and Ronda Etheridge teach the children and play with the children.
Nursery - Our precious infants and toddlers are cared for by Mrs. Renee' Brookshire and the other nursery workers in our congregation.
