Realize That God Loves You
God loves you and has a plan for your life.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

Realize that you are a sinner
What is sin? Sin is the willful choice that a person makes to do something that he or she knows that they are not supposed to do.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

Our sins have separated us from God.

No matter how good we are, if we sin one time against God’s law, we’re sinners.

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” James 2:10

God's Word Also Says That Sin Must Be Paid For
“For the wages of sin is death....” Romans 6:23a

Wages means payment. The payment of our sin is eternal death in hell, separated from God forever. If we continue in our sin, we shall die without Christ and be without God forever.

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Romans 5:12

God made man in His own image. He gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. We choose to sin. Our sins keep us from God.

The Good News Is That Christ Paid For Our Sins

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

All of our sins were laid on Christ on the cross. He paid the sin debt for us. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, and He arose from the dead. He is alive forevermore.

You Must Repent of Your Sins And Receive Christ By Faith
“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:5

You must realize that there is nothing that you can do to save yourself, and that you must turn from your sin and put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

By Faith, Pray and Ask Christ to Save You

The Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

If you wish to receive Christ as your Saviour, you can pray something like this:

 Dear Lord,

I know that I am a sinner, and deserve to die because of my sin, but I do believe you died for me and I trust you to save me and take me to heaven. Forgive me of my sin and help me to live for you. Amen!

New Life
Once you have received Christ as your Savior, you are a new creature.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”      2 Corinthians 5:17
